We loved the Gibson lodge! My husband, toddler, and I met by brother and sis-in-law in Montana for a vacation and we had an incredible stay at this historic, restored lodge on Flathead Lake. The cabin was very cool with enough space for us all. The views were amazing and we enjoyed the fire pit and location (which was close to main hiking areas, Glacier NP, and Bigfork). We have already sent the VRBO listing to friends and family and hope to be back ourselves in the future!
Our family’s four-day stay at this property exceeded all of our expectations. The cabin is rustic in feel but completely updated, clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. It’s conveniently located an hour from Glacier and Whitefish and just a 10 minute walk from Yellow Bay on Flathead Lake. And the panoramic views of the lake from the deck of the cabin can’t be beat.
My husband and I took our 4 sons to this adorable cabin. We rented a boat one day on Flathead Lake. We hiked in Glacier National Park two days. We also visited the charming cities around the area and had a wonderful time. This cabin was a great spot for us. The horseshoes, fire pit, deck and living room with games made it a special time for us.
Everything you could want and more. This property is stunning in so many ways. You can sit and just look around for hours given the decor. Outside the views are equally as stunning. Owner was quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely recommend this property to any and all who want to enjoy time together in fabulous surroundings.
The property is so beautiful, I never left. Everything you could need was provided including horseshoes which we hadn't played in years. There were fans, dishes, ice trays, there wasn't anything where I said " I wish I would've brought this. If you're looking for a relaxing stay this is perfect. If you want to fish, boat, swim or anything water related it's perfect. Overall I would make this a 5 star stay.
Fabulous charming peaceful very quit & scenic!! All services & restaurants a close drive to either Polson or Big Fork. Also within an easy fairly quick drive to the charming ski town of a must see Whitefish. So many outdoor activities also! Very pleasant sunny warm September weather with fresh cool mornings & evenings. A definite return area!
We visited with another couple friend recently. We all loved this place that George created. The furnishings are consistent with the period, every detail is carefully crafted and considered, and the beds are comfortable. The loft is fine for a second couple--really a second bedroom with all the amenities. Two big sinks in the bathroom. The gazebo is perfect for lounging. We will come again.
We loved this place! The front porch is wonderful. The interior is decorated with some comfortable antique furniture that is a perfect fit for the style of the cabin. The bathroom was huge and very clean. The views from the front lawn chairs or porch were wonderful. We were only a fifteen minute drive to Bigfork and a short hike to the beach. We would recommend!
